St. Paul Police: Firefighter victim in homicide on east side

This homicide is the 15th of 2019.

ST PAUL, Minn. — Homicide Investigators are looking for a person who shot and killed a St. Paul firefighter on the east side of St. Paul Monday night. 

Officers found Thomas Harrigan, 36,  with a gunshot wound to the stomach when they responded to a house in the 1700 block of Ivy Avenue, just after 8:30 pm Monday.

He was taken to Regions Hospital, where he died from his injuries around 9 p.m.

Officers say this is the 15th homicide of 2019. 

No arrests have been made. Police don't think the shooting was a random act.
