Hope in Motion for cancer survivors

Hope in Motion – Minnesota Oncology’s signature annual event – features walking, running and for the first time, cycling routes.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — A thousand people are expected to participate in the Sixth Annual Hope in Motion Walk, Run and Ride, presented by Minnesota Oncology, at Sky Hill Park in Eagan on Saturday, June 22.

This event is an inspiring celebration for survivors of all types of cancers at all stages of the cancer journey – whether they were diagnosed recently or have been cancer-free for decades.

Hope in Motion – Minnesota Oncology’s signature annual event – features walking, running and for the first time, cycling routes. It also includes a kids’ dash, wellness activities, entertainment, speakers and more. Many of the Hope in Motion participants are Minnesota Oncology cancer patients in recovery who have been training hard for this event.

All net proceeds from Hope in Motion are donated to the Angel Foundation, a Minnesota nonprofit that provides adults in active cancer treatment and their families with financial assistance to pay for non-medical expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities and phone bills. In its first five years, Hope in Motion has raised nearly $200,000 for the Angel Foundation.

Janeece Oatman, an event organizer and community development manager for the Angel Foundation, shares more about the upcoming event.
