GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — We all know that those rapidly changing years of our life from middle school through high school can be a challenge. Is there a way for a teenager to be powerful and have more control of their happiness through this critical time in their life?

Eighteen-year-old Lily Ness, a senior at Mound Westonka High School, learned how to face these challenges when she was 14, and just in time for the International Day of Happiness (which is celebrated on March 20), she is sharing what she learned about the key to happiness through "Cakewalk: The Science of Happy," a book she co-wrote with her grandmother, C.J. Staples, who is a life coach.

This month, C.J and Lily will be presenting at Grandview Middle School in Mound (March 13), and also signing books at the Barnes and Noble – Calhoun Village in Uptown (March 19 at 7 p.m.).
