GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Beth and Eddie Ulrich of Wayzata slept on the floor by the front and back doors of their home for weeks to prevent their daughter, Abbey, from leaving the house and using again.
The addiction started with marijuana and progressed to alcohol and cocaine and Abbey couldn’t live without it.
She went to treatment and when she got out, she chose not to return to Wayzata High School because she knew she would use again. Then, the Ulrich family found P.E.A.S.E. Academy and for the first time, Abbey realized she could have fun without drugs.
She went on to graduate from P.E.A.S.E. Academy and now attends Augsburg University. Abbey shares her story to give families hope.
