MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police say a round from a firearm went into North High School when shots were fired nearby on Wednesday.
At about 12:30 p.m., officers responded to shots fired in the area of 15th and Irving Avenues North. When they were on their way, officers got a report that one of the rounds went into the school near the front entrance, but no one was injured.
Within minutes, police say three school resource officers and several patrol officers arrived and searched the area but did not find a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers of Minnesota at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
