RAMSEY, Minn. — Angel Bateman's non-profit Hillside Hope Through Hooves in Ramsey is home to two goats, Nelly and Millie.
"Mother and daughter," said Angel.
Both couldn't be happier to have a Christmas tree instead of hay for once.
"They're going to have a good New Year's Day," said Angel.
This is her second year accepting Christmas Tree drop-offs to keep trees out of the landfill and to give her two goats a winter treat.
"High on Vitamin C actually so that's a nutrient for them and it's a natural de-wormer," said Angel. "They're using it as an itching post too. They're scratching their heads on it."
Angel says she will accept trees until mid-January.
Trees once surrounded by gifts are now a special gift for Nelly and Millie.
