BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Brooklyn Park Police say a woman was killed and a man put in jail after a Wednesday afternoon shooting.
Police were flagged down around 4:20 pm in the area around 5800 Brookdale Drive by a group of people saying a woman had been shot.
Officers attempted first aid on scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Witnesses said the woman was talking with a man in a parking lot when she was shot. Police identified a suspect, and he was arrested. He is in custody at the Brooklyn Park Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
