BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Mall of America is in the business of hosting big crowds. Super Bowl week will be no exception to that.

“Mall of America is the heart of a lot of the activity that's going to be taking place around the Super Bowl,” says Jill Renslow, Senior VP of Business Development at the mall.

Right now in the space next to the north food court signs of all the tickets from past Super Bowls hang from the ceiling. The week of the game it will be home to what's known as “radio row”, hosting 150 media outlets broadcasting live. “The chance for fans to get up close and personal with your favorite broadcasters,” Renslow says. “They have a lot of special guests so there's going to be a lot of VIP sightings.”

That's just one of many things that will draw fans.

Now through Sunday, January 21, giant helmets from every team in the NFL are set up in the north entrance. They will be gone by the time Super Bowl week arrives.

On the west side of the mall, a 4D Super Bowl Dome Experience will go up the Friday before the game where you can see what it's like to stand on the field of US Bank Stadium during the Super Bowl. Learn more about that here:

The rotunda is also going high tech with the Best Buy Tech Zone where you can check out the latest and greatest electronics to watch the game on. You can learn more about that here:

We can’t forget about the shopping! There are NFL pop-up stores where you can buy some Super Bowl swag.

This is about more than just fans as both teams in the big game are staying at the hotels attached to the mall. It's something the mall says they can't comment on, but what they are saying, is that they're ready for what's to come.

“We do this. We do events. Four hundred events every year, plus we entertain millions of guests every year so for us to be able to be part of this is a natural fit and we're really excited to deliver that amazing guest experience,” Renslow says.
