MINNEAPOLIS — If you're choosing to stay in this Valentine's Day instead of chasing the hottest dinner spot, a movie night could be the way to go.

There are so many romantic movies to choose from, but only one reigns as Minnesota's most popular.

That's 'It Happened One Night', says a study by Streaming Observer.

Streaming Observer, a website dedicated to informing consumers who use streaming services, studied data from Rotten Tomatoes and Google Trends to find the nation's most popular romantic movies. Mindnet Analytics also helped study the results.

'It Happened One Night' was made in 1934. It tells the story of a heiress and a newspaper reporter. The movie stars Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable.
