GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - When two local zoos battle in a "Cute Off" competition, it's truly the general public who wins.

On Tuesday, Twitter was filled with pictures of adorable animals as the Minnesota Zoo and the Como Zoo upped each other on the cuteness scale for a full hour.

The second round of the so-called Cute-Off competition took place between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday, filling their followers' feeds with nothing but cute photos and fun facts the individual zoos and their efforts to help wildlife.

The Cute-Off aims to raise awareness for "Give to the Max Day," which is slated for Thursday. The 24-hour day of giving encourages people to donate to their favorite local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations.
