Multiple MN theatres closed Wednesday

Freezing temperatures have forced many theatres to stay closed.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Seeing a movie on Wednesday may be difficult, as many Minnesota theatres are will not be opening due to inclement weather. 

All locations of AMC theatres are closed on Wednesday. 

Minneapolis Showplace Icon in St. Louis Park will also be closed. 

CMX at the Mall of America does not have movie showings scheduled past 7:30 p.m.

Some theatres are remaining open on Wednesday.

Temperatures in Minnesota are the coldest they have been since 1996, reaching lows of 27 degrees below zero.
