JCPenney is catching heat from critics after an advertisement for a white skirt with a flower design went viral.

A user on Imgur spotted the ad and its unfortunate placement of the flower design.

Though the design is slightly offset from center, the height of the flower and its shape almost suggest at first glance that the wearer may be having her period.

The ad said the skirt "lets you set the day's agenda whether you are in the office or at another important function," suggesting the skirt is business-forward, but the pattern could make for an embarrassing misunderstanding in professional settings.
