The 2019 NCAA Men's Final Four event is being held in Minneapolis between April 6-8, 2019. More than 2,000 volunteers are still needed to help set up and host the event.
Sixty-eight teams compete in the Final Four single-elimination tournament. The winning team is the men's National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I college basketball national champion for the 2018-19 season.
Volunteers must be able to commit to three (3), four-hour shifts between April 5-8, 2019.
Here are the requirements to be a Final Four volunteer, according to the NCAA:
- Must be at least 18 years old by March 1, 2019 to participate
- Must be friendly, outgoing and dedicated
- Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
- Must complete a minimum of three (3), four-hour shifts between April 5-8, 2019. Note: this time frame overlaps with some local school districts’ spring break.
After meeting volunteer requirements, future volunteers will have to sign registration and liability waiver paperwork. A background check will be administered. Volunteers will select one orientation session in March 2019 and three shift times in April 2019.
People who volunteer will receive a special 2019 NCAA Final Four uniform and an invitation to the post-Final Four Appreciation Event in the Twin Cities in Spring 2019.
