ST. PAUL, Minn. - A pedestrian was struck and critically injured by a light rail train in St. Paul on Wednesday, according to Metro Transit.
Metro Transit spokesperson Howie Padilla said that at just after 5 p.m., a woman was walking south on Snelling Avenue, attempting to cross University, when she was struck by a westbound train and knocked into an eastbound train.
The woman was brought to Regions Hospital with foot and head injuries, according to Padilla. He said she is in critical condition.
