LE SUEUR COUNTY, Minn. — The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office says a man riding a snowmobile was killed Saturday after he crashed into a pickup truck.

Sheriff's officials identified the victim as Larry Gene Haynes, 55, of Montgomery.

Deputies responded around 4:40 p.m. Saturday to a report of a snowmobile that collided with a vehicle on Lexington Road near 173rd Avenue in Montgomery Township.

"It appeared that Haynes was unable to stop before the Lexington Road crossing ultimately striking the side of a westbound pickup truck," according to a Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office news release.

Investigators believe alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
