ROCHESTER, Minn. — Firefighters rescued a dog from a partially frozen lake in Rochester.

It happened Saturday morning on Cascade Lake.

The dog broke though the ice about 50 feet from shore.

The crew used protective equipment during the rescue.

"The animal was fatigued from approximately 10 minutes in the water and had to be assisted out of the water onto the ice surface," according to a news release.
