Renville County crash leaves 2 dead and 1 with serious injuries

Two people were killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Renville County Friday morning.

RENVILLE, Minn. - Two people were killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Renville County Friday morning.

The State Patrol said a fatal crash occurred on Highway 71 at County Road 11 just after 10:30 a.m.

Two vehicles were involved. A 2000 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2010 Toyota Tundra.

The Silverado was southbound on Highway 71. The Tundra was traveling northbound. The Silverado crossed the center line and struck the Tundra head on.

Joel Patrick Trebesch, 50, of Kandiyohi was driving the Tundra and suffered fatal injuries.

Mark Andrew Tanhoff, 50, of Renville was driving the Silverado and also suffered fatal injuries.

Dianna Lynn Johnson. 47, of Renville was a passenger in the Silverado and suffered life threatening injuries.
