MINNEAPOLIS — It was a very merry Christmas indeed for the mother of Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Diggs delivered a big present to his mom on Christmas Day: an SUV.
He posted the video of the surprise on Twitter with the caption, "You get 1 mom... here’s something for the lady that put up with all my craziness. Merry Christmas everyone"
The video has been viewed more than a million times as of Wednesday morning.
Over the summer, Diggs agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Vikings, making him one of the highest paid players at this position.
A fifth-round pick out of Maryland in 2015, last season Diggs recorded 64 catches for 849 yards and eight touchdowns and produced a number of big plays while helping the Vikings reach the NFC Championship game.
Diggs isn't the only Viking surprising his relatives with some new wheels this holiday season. Cornerback Mike Hughes bought an SUV for a very excited sister, according to First Picks Sports.
