Take a (lunch) break. Seriously.

Did you step out of the office for lunch today?

ST. LOUIS PARK - It’s lunchtime. But a recent survey found that employees are hesitant to take a full lunch break. And, many surveyed said when they take lunch, it is often less than 30 minutes.

Tork surveyed 1,600 workers and managers in the United States and Canada.

Some of the managers participating said they consider how often employees take lunch breaks when evaluating performance.

The study showed about 88 percent of North American bosses believed employees are encouraged to take a lunch, only 62 percent of employees say they feel that encouragement.

Jennifer Britton, who works with Versique in St. Louis park said this study shines a spotlight on areas where companies can improve.
