Our team asked on our KARE 11 Facebook page which experiences you have given or received and many people commented about surprise vacations, while others mentioned skydiving, concert tickets or museum memberships.
Another popular idea is a gift card to a spa. At Sanctuary Salonspa in Eden Prairie, they've got their holiday gifts ready to go. Gift cards are popular, too.
"It's the gift of an experience rather than a physical thing which I think a lot of people appreciate and some people wouldn't take the time to do these things themselves," said Cassidy, a nail therapist.
I also visited Airmaxx Trampoline Park in Eden Prairie, which is a gift idea for kids and adults.
