MINNEAPOLIS - Donald Trump made his first visit to Minnesota as the Republican presidential candidate for a Friday night private fundraiser at the Minneapolis Convention Center. A group of protesters gathered outside the event.
Some of the demonstrators were spitting on Trump supporters, chasing them to their cars and spray-painting obscenities on the Convention Center's walls, according to KARE 11 reporters and photojournalists.
Trump did not appear in public.
Police say there were no injuries or arrests. But there was some rerouting of traffic because of people blocking roads.
