ROBBINSDALE, Minn. - Many people are ordering packages online for the holidays but some of them are getting taken from people's doorsteps.

Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle that was possibly involved in package theft in the 4200 block of Abbott Avenue North on Friday.

Robbinsdale and Crystal police arrested two individuals after scouring the neighborhoods for people in connection to the missing packages.

"It's crimes of opportunity. So consider yourself with the bullseye on your house, if you have a stack of packages," Robbinsdale Mayor Regan Murphy said. "Just like having a purse sitting in the drivers side of your unlocked vehicle.

Police say they want people to get in contact with them if they have missing packages from Friday and are from the Robbinsdale area.

They also encourage residents to continue keeping an out for their neighbors.
