MINNEAPOLIS - During the Minnesota Vikings game on Sunday, the team's "Hometown Hero" was also an American hero.

Vikings fans gave a standing ovation to Alvin Donahoo, a World War II veteran who served as a Navy Lieutenant during the Invasion of Normandy on D-Day.

For Donahoo, it was his first ever Vikings game, and it happened to take place just a day after his 100th birthday.
