Denver TV anchor Kyle Clark took a different, but ultimately successful approach to dealing with a rude social media post.

DENVER — KUSA Television anchor Kyle Clark is not a guy who colors between the lines. He looks at the world in a decidedly off-kilter way, and has a large and devoted following on social media because of it.

On Monday those followers helped Clark turn the tables on a Twitter user who was a touch rude to the Denver personality. Clark had posted a comment about the struggle to start his day in the wake of Daylight Saving Time, an effort made tougher due to a bleak sky and bleary forecast.

While a bunch of people responded with chit chat about the day and Clark's tweet, a gent who goes by 'Dogs for Trump' replied with something less polite, telling Clark to "Shut up sport coat boy."

Some media personalities believe the best way to respond is to not engage... a tactic that is not in Clark's DNA. But instead of returning the rudeness, or getting up in his detractor's grill Mr. Clark took at different tack, asking his followers to send pictures of dogs to the @Dogs4T account. He also implored them to leave politics or anything divisive out of the conversation.

What followed was an avalanche of canine cuteness, as puppy pics piled up in the Twitter thread and @Dogs4T's feed. It didn't take long before a white flag of  surrender was waved.

Mr. Clark didn't gloat or attempt to make a bigger point, simply thanking his followers for helping to accomplish the mission.
