Scraping the windshield during a brutal Minnesota winter isn't 'anyone's' favorite job.

To prevent the ice from forming in the first place (either overnight or while you're at work for the day), spray the windshield with a mixture of 2/3 vinegar and 1/3 water.

If the ice is already coating your windshield, spray it with a solution of 1 part alcohol to 2 parts lukewarm water and a teaspoon of dish soap. The ice will begin to melt, and if not taken away completely will be much more easily scraped off.

Happy wintering!
