Even without visiting, Joy Zhu knew this school would be a fit.
Even being from China, she had a connection here with the Gophers. Joy found her way to Minnesota and not long after, success found Joy.
The Gophers sophomore was named Big Ten diver for the week after winning the first events for her collegiate career.
As her season and confidence grows, Joy can't help but be distracted by what's happening in her hometown of Wuhan, China.
Joy says her family is healthy and safe. All she can do is hope and pray for them from halfway around the world.
