Oles spin the eagle towards St. Olaf for a 6th consecutive time

The school won the 100th meeting with cross town rival Carleton

NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Just two miles separate St. Olaf and Carleton and with such a short distance, their hearts aren't quite fond of each other. It is truly one of the MIAC's best rivalries which ends each year with the winning team marching to the center of town to an eagle statue which is turned to face the winning school for the next year.

Saturday was the 100th meeting between the two schools played this year at Klein Field on Manitou on the St. Olaf campus and the Oles did not disappoint the home crowd. Jordan Embry rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown, Gabe Alada caught two touchdowns and racked up 107 yards receiving while quarterback Lars Prestemon threw two touchdowns in the winning effort.

They celebrated afterwards live on KARE 11 with Sports anchor Dave Schwartz.
