MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Twins have clinched the AL Central for the second straight year.
While the Twins were still in extra innings with the Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago Cubs held off a late charge by the Chicago White Sox to give the Twins the division.
The Twins, who lost 5-3 in extra innings against the Reds on Sunday, have secured the No. 3 seed in the playoffs and will open against the Houston Astros.
