Minnesota Sportsmen's Show kicks off 50th Year

The show is back at the Saint Paul RiverCentre this weekend, where you can learn all about boating, camping, RVs and more.

If you're looking to get out of the cold, and thinking about an outdoor summer vacation, this weekend may be meant for you.

The Minnesota Sportmen's Show is back for its 50th year, with hundreds of exhibits and experts ready to answer your questions. You can check out the latest technology in outdoor equipment, book a vacation and learn all about camping.

Between Thursday and Sunday, some 20,000 people are expected to attend the show. There will be appearances by Ron Schara and shows by Twiggy, the world-famous water skiing squirrel.

There are plenty of activities for the kids as well, with the very-popular live trout pond. 

There are also three live bucks at Steve Porter's Trophy Whitetail display, including "Heart Attack" a 30-point buck.

Times for the show:

  • Friday, January 10 Noon – 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 11 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, January 12 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults, and $2.50 for children ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under get in for free.
