MINNEAPOLIS - Junior pitcher Drew Gilbert struck out 15 batters to help Stillwater capture the 4A state title 4-0 against Minnetonka on Monday.
Gilbert, an Oregon State commit, was pitching on three days rest. Originally, Minnetonka-Stillwater was scheduled for Saturday but was moved back due to weather. The change allowed for the Stillwater star to pitch Monday.
For the Ponies, it's the first state title in baseball since 1991.
