MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves find themselves 16.5 games back from the first place in the Western Conference, they’re last in the Northwest division. They now have three stars out with season-ending injuries with Jeff Teague, Derrick Rose and Robert Covington. But, they are looking at the rest of the season with an open mind at improving and building this team to make a splash in the West next season with young talent surrounding veteran leadership. Tyus Jones currently leads the NBA in Assist-to-Turnover ratio, while Jeff Teague, before injury, was the 10th best NBA player in that category. It’s all part of what head coach Ryan Saunders looks for in point-guards.
