COON RAPIDS, Minn. – In a dark, humid, tiny boxing gym, Caleb Truax is home.
In his small gym, where he helps train kids who want to follow in his boxing footsteps, he talks about what it was like to reach the pinnacle of his weight class – even for a short time.
Truax will fight again next month in Minneapolis. And though it’s far from his final fight, he knows he’s on the down slope of his career. He calls boxing “a young man’s game” and knows that his window to get back to the top is closing.
Truax sits down with KARE 11’s Dave Schwartz to talk about his career goals, his upcoming fight, and the fight of his life involving his baby daughter.
