ST PAUL, Minn. — The U.S. Women's National Soccer Team is making headlines all over the world - but could they soon be making them in the Twin Cities?
Minnesota United FC has submitted a bid for the team to play at Allianz Field on its upcoming Victory Tour.
A United FC spokesperson tells KARE 11 that if they win the bid, the game would take place Sept. 3.

The Victory Tour consists of five games across the country, on Aug. 3, Aug 29, Sept. 3, Oct. 3, and Oct. 6, following the U.S. Women's National Team's FIFA World Cup win.
The first game, against the Republic of Ireland, will take place Saturday Aug. 3 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. That game will be aired on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. CT.
The Sept. 3 game will also air on ESPN2. U.S. Soccer says it is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. They have not said when the other tour stops will be announced.
