VeeCon 2022 comes to U.S. Bank Stadium

A first-of-its-kind festival celebrating "VeeFriends," an NFT collection, will be in Minneapolis Thursday.

MINNEAPOLIS — Tech-heads, Web3 leaders and celebrities are descending on Minneapolis Thursday through Sunday celebrating the NFT art of Gary Vaynerchuk.

VeeCon 2022 describes itself as a "multi-day superconference" with educational and innovative talks, panels and Q&A sessions, collaborative experiences, and of course, entertainment.

Of course, you need a ticket to get in. But what makes this conference different is that you also need to own a VeeFriends NFT.

VeeFriends are Vaynerchuk's artistic creations, sold online as NFTs, or non-fungible tokens. They're described on their marketplace as "a Gary Vaynerchuk NFT project around meaningful intellectual property and an extraordinary community," and feature whimsical creatures named after the qualities Vaynerchuk most admires in people, like Amiable Anchovy and Clever Crocodile.

Since they are NFTs, they can't be bought with traditional currencies. You'll need to invest in some Ethereum to score your own Courteous Coyote.

Currently one ETH costs around $2,000, so a VeeFriend could run you between $2,000 up to $18,000 depending on your Friend.
