One dead after head-on Brooklyn Park crash

Police said one person was killed and others hospitalized following a crash that closed Zane Avenue North for hours Monday night.

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A Monday night vehicle crash left one person dead and sent others to the hospital, police say.

According to a release from the Brooklyn Park police department, emergency responders were sent to the 6500 block of Zane Avenue North around 10:30 p.m.

Officers found one victim unresponsive from a head-on crash. Medics tried to revive them, but unfortunately the person died at the scene.

Their name or any other identifying information has not been released by officials at this time. 

North Ambulance crews took the other people injured in the crash to the hospital. They are all expected to survive.

Police said the accident caused all lanes of Zane Avenue North to be closed for a "significant" amount of time Monday night.
