BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A fatal crash closed part of Highway 252 northbound in Brooklyn Park on Monday evening.

The crash involved a male pedestrian who died, according to troopers at the scene.

The male pedestrian has since been identified by the Minnesota State Patrol as Patrick Sundance Mack, 35, of Minneapolis.

Mack was walking westbound against the 'Do Not Cross' sign when a Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound struck him, according to state patrol.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash. They say it happened at the intersection of Brookdale Drive and Highway 252 at just after 5:30 p.m.
