GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The wet overnight weather conditions led to treacherous morning driving for many commuters.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported 155 crashes from 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Of those, 18 involved injuries, two of which were serious. There were also 163 spin-outs and four jackknifed semis over that time period, according to the state patrol.
Crashes on main highways, I-694, I-494 and I-94 all created headaches Thursday morning.
Jackknifed tractor trailers halted traffic on I-694, closing the highway for hours.
According to MnDOT, crews were out this morning putting down salt and chemicals.
