MINNEAPOLIS — MnDOT is closing a roughly five-mile section of I-35W this weekend.

Starting at 10:00 p.m on Friday, all lanes of I-35W will close between I-94 and Highway 280. The interstate is expected to reopen at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, just in time for the new work week.

If you typically take this route, the detour for the weekend is I-94 and Highway 280.

The work is part of a larger, multi-year construction project along I-35W.

You can find a full list of statewide construction projects that might impact your commute by visiting the MnDOT website.
