The Vernal Equinox is when the sun's strongest rays reach the equator and once again cross into the northern hemisphere for the first time since September.
BUT, meteorological spring began March 1. We use even months for compiling statistics more easily.
Spring by our definition is March to April to May, and summer will be June 1 to August 31!
