Storms continue this evening although severe weather is unlikely at this point. The biggest impact over the last few days has been the heavy rain and flooding in northeastern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. Heavy pockets of rain continue tonight mainly for southern Minnesota and central Wisconsin bringing the potential for some localized flooding.

There’s relief tomorrow… from the heat, humidity and storms! Our atmosphere is finally moving again and that means our overall pattern is changing. Although Monday has a few showers mainly early in the forecast with mostly cloudy skies, the cooler temperatures and lower dew points will be a welcome change. Highs top out in the middle to upper 70s with mostly cloudy skies and a light northeast breeze. High pressure begins to push in bringing a quiet stretch that takes us through much of the upcoming week.

Although it has felt very much like summer the past few days, the season officially begins on Thursday. Then storms return to the forecast on Friday.
