GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Clouds will increase Sunday through the afternoon and evening hours.  Showers look likely for western and northern Minnesota by late afternoon through the evening.   Widespread showers and thunder will move across the state beginning this evening and eventually reach the metro during the predawn hours Monday morning.

Scattered showers and storms will continue Monday afternoon and evening with highs only in the lower 70s throughout the day.

We may see a lingering shower on Tuesday, but the drying spell will begin and last most of the week before the chance for an isolated storm returns on Friday. As for afternoon highs, they're going to stay below average with highs in the 70s throughout the week.
