An air quality alert has been issued for northern Minnesota starting at 3 PM today and lasting through Sunday because of wildfire smoke from the Canadian Wildfires. The smoke will begin to clear on Sunday.

In the Twin Cities, we will see mostly clear skies and dry weather all weekend. The smoke will fill our skies this morning and stick around for much of the weekend. Today our high should climb to 90 with dew points in the 60s.

Tomorrow will be similar, smoky skies and highs near 90. A storm system will bring thunderstorms for western Minnesota Sunday afternoon. These storms will move into the Metro Sunday night and stick around next week Monday.
