Strong late February sunshine today will break out today helping to clean up left over snow/ice on the roads and sidewalks. Enjoy that sigh of relief... we are still looking at possible weekend snow.

First, we have two lighter snowfalls. One tonight brings a dusting to many areas late tonight/early Friday. Far western Minnesota could see up to 1".

We'll see more sun break out midday Friday with another shot of snow overnight. That one will bring 2" to 5" for central and western Minnesota (St. Cloud to Willmar to Alexandria). In the metro, we'll likely see an inch.

The main event is Saturday evening into Sunday morning. The models have shifted a little closer to the Twin Cities again with the heaviest snow still mainly just east of most of the metro, but we're still in for several possible inches. We'll keep narrowing down that track over the next 24 hours.

Next week is looking colder with a few subzero nights again even by late in the week.
