Storms leave a path of damage

Severe storms rumbled through the metro leaving behind fallen trees, flooded roads and reports of some structural damage.

From the time storms quickly intensified over Wright county to redevelopment in the south metro storms have left their mark across the metro.

Hail up to 1.5" in diameter was reported widespread across the west and north metro. Communities like Delano, Rockford and Maple Grove reported the largest stones.

Heavy rain of up to 4" or more of rain collected on roads and in ditches and backyards. Flash flood warnings remain in effect through the evening across the metro. Never drive through a flooded road. There's no way to know how deep the water actually is and what the condition of the road underneath is.

Widespread tree damage has been reported with some structural damage more isolated. Some structure damage was reported in Scott County in an area that had previously been under a tornado warning. A storm survey will likely determine whether that damage was the result of a tornado or thunderstorm winds.
