The statistics end up looking pretty impressive if the forecast through Friday verifies.
Including today, this stretch of 90-plus degree days is at five. Friday should mark the ninth consecutive day of 90-plus weather.
That's more than halfway to average for the whole summer season already!
If nine days in a row does verify, that would put us tied in the number 3 spot for longest 90 degree stretches in Twin Cities recorded history... something we haven't seen in 15 years.
There's been one other stretch that started in June, but never before on record have we had a full nine day stretch of 90+ degree days in June.
Simply put, it's never been this hot, for this long, this early in the season.
