MINNEAPOLIS - Metro Transit is warning the public that there may be a delay on some scheduled bus routes Saturday afternoon.

Snowy conditions and slippery roads are slowing down traffic and causing crashes all over the Twin Cities. Metro Transit reported on Twitter that as of 3:15 p.m. Saturday, 53 percent of buses were delayed and the average delay was 11 minutes.

Green Line trains were also significantly delayed due to a car on the tracks near the Robert Street station, but as of about 3:15 p.m. Metro Transit said the car had been cleared. Trains were still expected to be delayed as they got back on schedule.

Demonstrations also delayed routes 645 and 535; southbound routes 5, 19 and 22; and eastbound route 9.
