City settles with Clark's family for $200K
The Minneapolis City Council Friday approved a $200,000 lawsuit with the family of Jamar Clark, who was shot to death in 2015 by a police officer as another officer scuffled with him on the ground. After deducting attorneys fees, the money will be divided evenly among eight of Clark's relatives. The Hennepin County prosecutor declined to charge the officers with any crimes in connection with Clark's death.
