Was that the Wolves blowing the lid off after the lockout?

8:44 PM, Dec 27, 2011

Fire up the bandwagon. Jump on. I'm driving. There were 19,000 others on board Monday night as the Wolves owner, Glen Taylor, played with some brand new race cars (Rubio, Barea, and D. Williams) the day after Christmas. A couple of dependable Tonka trucks carried the workload (Love and Beasley) and the stocking stuffer was a screaming coach with a long history of success.

Goodbye golf clubs... hello shovel!

My game has already gone south for the winter. At golf's most glorious time in the Midwest, my driver snap-hook heads straight west the moment the ball leaves the club face. I've got 2 frost delays under my belt and have conceded that its' time to put 2011 to bed.

Golf Blog: 2 more great metro area country club courses before the snow flies

8:06 PM, Oct 30, 2011

I have always believed October is the best month for golf in Minnesota. The trees are colorful, the air is crisp, and usually there are fewer people out on the course.

Golf blogger gets a lesson; tees up at 2 of the Twin Cities' best

I don't consider "Happy Gilmore" a golf movie, yet every time I'm flipping channels and I run across it, I watch.

Okay, this may not be the best analogy but stay with me. We just purchased one of those crossover thingies. You know, one-third station wagon, one-third mini-van, one-third SUV. It's called a Dodge Journey and it's gray. I call it the Millennium Falcon (it's pretty big). My gosh, we are domestic with a capital D.

Still clubbin': golf blogger continues to find 'privacy'

8:20 PM, Sep 11, 2011

My golf game is in complete disarray. And while my golf game seems to be at its worst, I happen to be playing some of the best courses the metro has to offer. The private club tour continues and I think I'm completely sold on joining a club next year (my wife is not on board...yet).

Still trying to play the Twin Cities; 'golf blogger' goes private

8:31 PM, Sep 4, 2011

So I've been toying with the idea of purchasing a membership at a local golf club. Now is the time; many clubs are conducting "membership specials" to attract players in this economy.

Hangin' with golf's Champions Tour; these guys are good (and they're good guys)

4:27 PM, Aug 25, 2011

One of the coolest parts of my job is I get to meet some pretty incredible people. Sometimes they're famous; you try not to become star struck, and usually, I'm proud to say, I play it pretty cool.

I have played way too much golf to be this bad!... Updated

9:00 AM, Aug 24, 2011

I have accomplished very little in my golf career. I haven't shaved a stroke off my handicap in years. I've eagled fewer than a half dozen holes in a dozen years and I can't even say I've cleaned my clubs this season.

Where am I? Traveling golfer lost in Northern Nebraska

Before I play a course for the first time, I always visit it's website. Usually there's a stunning or magnificent picture followed by superlatives and hyperbole

Killebrew: Too many to help, too much to give

9:51 AM, May 20, 2011

Cam Killebrew said no one could keep him away from Minnesota, he flew back often. In fact, at one point, Cam asked his father to slow down a little bit, but to the legend known as The Killer, that wasn't an option.

We were killing time. My wife and I stopped in a tourist gift shop in Downtown Phoenix. The clerk asked "Where are you guys from?"

Two years old... and too much to say!

Her mom is a communications and public relations specialist and her dad's a reporter. So, perhaps my daughter Siena was predestined to become an inquisitive Suzy-talks-a lot.

Toilet time: Daddy's girl gets rid of diapers

We don't discuss the family budget or what's for dinner. We don't talk about weather or traffic. We talk about poop and we talk about potty.

Playing the TPC: This Place is Cool
