The Vikings mistakes killed them today. Four interceptions and inexcusable special team breakdowns cost them a chance against a Bears team riddled with injuries.

Who would have guessed 89 points scored between these two teams?

The Vikings scored off their own opening drive. It was their only lead of the game.

The Bears came right back. Kyle Orton threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to tightend Greg Olsen to tie the game at 7-7.

Then, the Vikings Chris Kluwe drops the punt snap and has the punt blocked. Garrett Wolfe picks it up for an easy touchdown, 14-7 Bears. Kluwe should have just ate the football instead of trying to punt it.

Second quarter, Charles Gordon lets the punt go over his shoulder, but the ball bounces forward and hits him in the had. It's a live ball and Zach Bowman of the Bears recovers for a touchdown. Bears increase their lead 24-17.

Third quarter, Bears first drive of the second half, Orton to Desmond Clark. He fumbles, but Rashied Davis recovers for a touchdown, 34-24 Bears.

Then it's the Vikings again, this time Adrian Peterson with a 54 yard touchdown run. He rushes for 122 yards on the day.

After the Vikings fall on a 4th-and-one at the Bears 36, Orton throws a 51-yard touchdown pass to Marty Booker, Bears up 41-31.

Next possession, Gus Frerotte picked off by Kevin Payne and he returns the ball to the Vikings 6-yard line. Frerotte throws four picks on the day.

Fourth quarter, Frerotte to Bernard Berian on the 4th-and-goal. Vikings score and are now down 48-41 with three minutes left.

The Vikings get the ball back with time, but Frerotte is picked off by Bowman and the Vikings come up short in Chicago. Final score Bears 48, Vikings 41.
