13-year-old fatally buried in corn

HERMAN, Minn. -- A 13-year-old boy has died after he was buried in corn on a Grant County farm.

The sheriff's department says the corn was being unloaded from a grain bin at a farm southwest of Herman Wednesday afternoon when the boy was buried.

Emergency responders located the child unconscious and unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital in Morris where he was pronounced dead.

The boy was not immediately identified.
